Graduating Class: 2023
College Major: Pre-Law and Government
Personal Statement: “Whaddup, I’m Jake David, a pitcher for the LMU baseball team. This team is a family and I’ve never seen a closer group of guys. As a senior, this will be my last year playing high school baseball. Hopefully we can go all the way and win the PSAL championship.”
2021 season: This season was shorter than usual because of Covid-19. In 4 innings pitched, Jake had an ERA (earned run average) of 3.4 and a 1-0 record.
2022 season: Jake had a stellar junior season and proved to be one of the aces of the LMU pitching staff. He had a 0.68 ERA in the regular season, which was one of the best in PSAL. He was also undefeated, with a 5-0 record. In the playoffs, he had a 1.11 ERA against some of the best competition in the league. Jake's best game came against East Side Community High School at Central Park, where he allowed 0 runs in a 1-0 LMU win.
2023 season: Jake has started two games and holds a 0.00 ERA with 11 strikeouts, which led to blowout wins against the High School for Environmental Studies and the High School for Math, Science, and Engineering. Jake looks to continue dominating down the stretch.
